Behind Living Lacey
Made by a neighbor who wanted better answers.
Living Lacey was created by Jake Pierpoint, a local real estate professional with Olympic Sotheby's International Realty, to make it easier to understand what's happening in the community we call home.
The goal is simple: make useful local information easier to find.
Lacey is changing quickly — new neighborhoods, new roads, new places to eat, and constant activity around the lakes. Most of that information exists somewhere: a City of Lacey agenda, a county permit, a WDFW stocking report, a business's own announcement. It's just scattered. Living Lacey gathers it, verifies it, and keeps it in one place with the source attached.
This is not a real estate website. It's a local guide. Jake's professional side lives in the Real Estate section, where market data and honest answers are the point. Everywhere else, the product is Lacey.
Editorial standards
- Sourced
- Current information — news, projects, businesses, events, statistics — carries a named source, a link where available, and a last-verified date.
- Labeled
- Confirmed, proposed, under review, and rumored are different things. Rumors are never displayed as facts.
- Reverified
- Time-sensitive records are flagged for reverification when they age past a set window, and marked amber on the site until they're checked again.
- Independent
- Spotlights and recommendations are editorial. Any paid placement is clearly disclosed. Reviews, ratings, and hours are never invented.
