If you've driven Hogum Bay Road NE lately, you've watched a real town center take shape. Hogum Bay Town Center is not one building — it's a master plan by Urban Olympia (with Thomas Architecture Studios as architect) totaling roughly 353,800 square feet across the site, organized as a binding site plan with eight lots (City project #22-0188).

What we know

  • Six commercial buildings anchor the west end of the site; four mixed-use residential buildings sit at the east end, each with 80-90 units — studios through two-bedrooms, plus ground-floor walk-ups — around courtyards, a community garden, play area, and a covered pergola.
  • Already open at the town center: 23 Kitchens and Super Chix, per City Council reporting. Cooper's Bar & Grill and Dough Zone were reported by The JOLT as tenants expected in the summer 2026 buildout.
  • The residential component, Hogum Bay Apartments at 2463 Hogum Bay Rd NE, is now pre-leasing, with first residents scheduled for September 2026. Roughly 350 market-rate apartments are planned across the town center.
  • The project is in its third phase per the architect's project page.

What we don't know yet

  • Which tenants will fill the remaining commercial buildings — only some have been named publicly.
  • A firm final-completion date for the residential buildings.
